Chicago has issued an $80.1 million building permit for a 30-storey residential tower at 160 N. Morgan St. in Fulton Market.
Developer Sterling Bay describes the project as a “class-A multi-family development consisting of 282 units, 89 parking spaces and 2,657 rentable square feet of retail area.”
“Located at the epicenter of Chicago’s vibrant Fulton Market neighborhood, the site is only 1 block from Google’s Midwest Headquarters and McDonald’s World Headquarters and sits directly across Morgan Street from the entrance to the CTA Morgan Station. The bKL designed building features high quality glass, masonry, and metal materials and seamlessly integrates with the neighborhood surroundings.”
The permit issued on April 20 says Walsh Construction Company is the general contractor. Walsh is also self-performing the masonry trade. Other key subtrades include: Electrical – Elite Electric Co., Inc; plumber/plumbing – DW Mechanical Group, Inc; and refrigeration and ventilation – Advance Mechanical Systems.
