Chicago has issued $170 million full building permit for 845 West Madison, which will become a 586-unit community in two rental towers when it is completed in 2020.
Chicago Construction News has reported earlier that HFF has secured a $61.9-million loan the project situated on the former H2O+ Cosmetics site.
The permit issued on March 12 says the development will include 586 dwelling units and 300 parking spaces. The overall project will occupy 720,000 sq. ft. of one, two and three-bedroom apartments plus more than 10,000 sq. ft. of ground floor retail.
The project is being developed by Lendlease and The John Buck Co. The project’s designer is GREC Architects.
Key subtrades listed on the building permit include: Electrical – Bonus Electric; masonry – James McHugh Construction Co.; plumber – Ewing-Doherty Mechanical; and refrigeration and ventilation – Heatmasters Inc.
