The second phase of construction to improve streets, sidewalks and utilities in portions of downtown Naperville started Monday, Feb. 5.
Work will take place between Chicago Avenue and Benton Avenue and is scheduled to be complete by the end of October. Phase two includes utility repair and upgrades, streetscape modernization, and complete road reconstruction.
New street closures will happen along with the ongoing construction on the Washington Street Bridge between Chicago Avenue and Aurora Avenue.
The entire ‘Downtown: Progress in Progress’ is a response to continued growth and needed improvements in the downtown area.
