Magellan Development Group Inc. has been issued a $97 million building permit to erect a 440-unit, 40 story residential building at 637 N. Wells/167 W. Erie St., designed by Lowenberg Architects (James Lowenberg).
The project includes 131 parking stalls and retail stores on the first floor.
General contractor is Linn-Mathes Inc. Other contractors include: Electrical, JMS Electric, Inc.; masonry, Adjustable Forms Inc. and Illinois Masonry; plumbing, Ewing-Doherty Mechanical, Inc.; refrigeration and ventilation, Advance Mechanical.
