Chicago has issued a $51,195,000 full building permit for a 224-unit Fulton Market project.

The permit for the work at 166 N. Aberdeen St. follows an earlier permit for shallow foundation elements and the superstructure through the third floor. The current permit issued on dec. 17 is for the “new construction of a 21 story residential building with 224 dwelling units and 70 car parking spaces.”

Developer Greystar Chicago is the owner and  Lend Lease (US) Construction is the project’s general contractor.  Key subtrades include: Electrical: Vader National Electric  LLC; masonry – RV Builders, Corp.; plumber/plumbing – Norman Mechanical; and refrigeration and ventilation – State Mechanical Services.

Solomon Cordwell Buenz (SCB) is the project’s architect.

The new building replaces the former Fabbri Sausage factory, which was demolished earlier this year, YIMBY Chicago reported earlier.
