David McDonald has been appointed executive director of the Shaumburg-based Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute (CRSI).
For the past six hears, McDonald, has been managing director of CRSI’s Epoxy Interest Group, where his efforts included steering technical and marketing efforts, CRSI reported in a news release. In the interim position as president, McDonald is responsible for the organization’s daily operations.
Previously, McDonald was a senior research associate at a Fortune 500 organization, where he had both personnel and financial responsibilities, and as a consulting engineer specializing in construction materials.
McDonald is a licensed Professional Engineer in Illinois. He obtained both his bachelor’s and doctorate degrees in civil engineering at the University of Sydney Australia.
