CDOT hosting webinar on guidelines for new construction projects

The Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) is hosting a webinar to provide an overview of interim guidelines for Travel Demand Study and Management Plans required for new construction in B, C, or D, zoning districts, to meet requirements of the Connected Communities Ordinance.

The webinar will be held July 11, at 10:00 am and will be webcast on Zoom.

Registration is required to access the webcast by emailing the project manager william.higgins@cityofchicago.org.

The webinar is for stakeholders, transportation professionals, urban planners and developers. Presenters will explain the importance of travel demand management (TDM) and the impact on sustainable transportation planning. The event will focus on the newly implemented guidelines to meet the requirements of the Connected Communities ordinance.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the requirements of the connected communities ordinance, the submittal process, and steps to approval.

CDOT staff will answer  questions during the webinar.
