$50 million permit issued for 313 W. Wolf Point Plaza

Chicago has issued a $50 million building permit to build a 698-unit apartment at 313 W. Wolf Point Plaza, the second of three towers in the Wolf Point development approved in Oct. 2016 by the Chicago Plan Commission.

The developer, Wolf Point East Investors Inc., is a joint venture between the AFL-CIO Building Investment Trust, Houston developer Hines Interests, and Kennedy family scion Christopher G. Kennedy, DNA Info has reported.

The overall Wolf Point project at a site where the three Chicago River branches meet has a budget of about $1 billion. The building permit for 313 W. Wolf Point is for a “60-story residential building with six basement parking levels” as well as the apartments.

General contractor Walsh Construction Company also is listed on the permit as the masonry contractor. Other subtrades include: plumbing — Ewing-Doherty Mechanical, Inc.; and electrical — Gurtz Electrical Company.
