Chicago has issued a $28 million building permit for the second phase of a 47-story tower at Michigan and Wacker.
The Phase II permit is to erect a “47 story hotel, residential and retail building upon foundation and seven story superstructure portion permitted separately,” the permit documentation says.
BKL Architects designed the structure, 300 N. Michigan, overlooking Millennium Park. The general contractor is Linn-Mathes Inc.
Key subtrades include: Electrical – JMS Electric, Inc.; masonry – MBB Enterprises of Chicago; plumber/plumbing – Hill Mechanical Corp.; and refrigeration and ventilation – The Hill Group.
