$19.8 million senior housing project to rise in Uptown

Chicago has issued a $19,736,796 building permit for a new affordable senior housing development at 833 W. Wilson Ave. in Uptown.

The Chicago Plan Commission had approved the project proposed by Brinshore Development LLC in December, 2021, Chicago YIMBY reported then. Landon Bone Baker designed the project on what had been an empty lot.

The building permit issued on April 26 says Linn-Mathes Inc. is the general contractor. The permit describes the project as a “new 6 story, 73 unit independent senior apartment building including a 44 space parking garage at ground level as per plans.

Key subtrades include: Electrical – JMS Electric, Inc.; masonry – Alright Concrete Co. and MBB Enterprises of Chicago; plumber/plumbing – DW Mechanical Group, Inc.; and refrigeration and ventilation – Atomatic Mechanical.
