United Airlines’ Willis Tower offices receiving $52 million renovation make-over

The City of Chicago has issued a $52 million building permit for renovations on several Willis Tower floors. The March 8 permit says United Airlines is the owner.

The work at 233 S. Wacker Dr. includes: “Interior alterations of existing office space on floors 6, 7, 9-17 and 28.”

“Work to include interior partitions, finishes, light fixtures, and associated MEP work. Structural scope includes three new stair openings and stair framing between floors 9 and 10, 13 and 14 and 16 and 17,” the permit says.

Executive Construction, Inc. is the general contractor. Key subtrades include: Electrical – Titan Electric LLC; plumber/plumbing – Sherman Mechanical, Inc.; and refrigeration and ventilation – F.E. Moran, Inc.
