The Construction & Demolition Recycling Association (CDRA) has appointed industry veteran Terri Ward as its new executive director and CEO. Ward, who has been serving as a special advisor to the board’s executive committee, steps into her new role immediately.

“We are excited to have Terri lead CDRA with her passion for the industry and her extensive knowledge of materials, markets, processing technology, and the legislative landscape,” said Jason Haus, president of CDRA. “With more than 30 years of industry experience, Ward is well-equipped to guide the organization”.

“Terri possesses a deep understanding of CDRA’s mission and the challenges our members encounter. We eagerly anticipate the contributions she will bring in her new position,” added Brock Hill, vice president of CDRA.

Ward has held various volunteer positions, including serving on the board as a member-at-large, participating in the executive committee, and chairing the convention committee. Her career includes providing consulting services to the waste, recycling, and environmental sectors, as well as representing technology and machinery suppliers.

“Given the increasing focus on sustainability and materials circularity, along with the critical role recycling plays in achieving these goals, this is an exciting time for our industry. I am thrilled to take on this role and look forward to collaborating with our members and board to enhance CDRA’s impact and resources within our community,” Ward said.

The Construction & Demolition Recycling Association (CDRA) advocates for the environmentally responsible recycling of more than 600 million tons of recoverable construction and demolition materials produced annually in the United States. These materials include wood, concrete, gypsum drywall, asphalt shingles, pavement, and more.
