Skender Construction, LLC has started work on converting the former Soft Sheen building at 8522 S. Lafayette to become the a middle and high school occupied by Perspectives Charter Schools. The building permit has a $13.5 million value.
Subtrades working on the project include: Electrical – Jolen Electric, Inc.; Masonry – W.B.F. Construction Inc.; Plumber/plumbing – Warren F. Thomas; and refrigeration and mechanical – CT Mechanical, LLC.
The project encompasses interior and exterior alterations to the existing two-story steel framed structure with a masonry exterior, the permit says.
