Kinzie Builders says it has started construction on 4th and Broadway, a rental townhome development in Libertyville. The project, which will bring seven three-story townhomes to the Chicago suburb, replaces a vacant commercial building at 234 N. 4th St.
The architect for the development is Libertyville-based Linden Group, and Kinzie Builders says it will employ more than 30 subcontractors during construction.
“Rental townhomes strike the right balance for those who are in the market for the space and layout of a single-family home with the low maintenance of a traditional apartment, which is why many suburbs like Libertyville are seeing increased demand for this type of upscale community,” Kinzie Builders principal Steve Spinell said in a Nov. 30 statement.
“Similar properties we’ve built recently have been fully leased before completion, which speaks not only to the quality of our work, but also to the desire renters have for living in proximity to desirable suburban downtowns.”
