Prebid Location Cary Area Public Library – Meeting Room, Topics will include overview of project, tour of existing structures, question and answer session, and identification of any needed additional instruction to individuals or firms on the submission of statement of qualifications.

Detail of Services
Statements of Qualifications and Performance Data relative to Construction Management services for an interior renovation project.
The project will renovate portions of the existing 19,000 sq. ft. building.
Planned improvements include updated staff areas to accommodate an Automated Materials Handling system, a new teen area, condensed and relocated public service points, new and repurposed small group study/activity rooms, and a new layout of collections in both the adult and youth public spaces.
The project will also include repair and modifications of various mechanical and electrical systems, and replacement of the asphalt shingle roof system with same or different.
The library seeks general pre-construction service including master planning, phasing, estimating, and procurement of competitive bids in accordance with State law and Board policies. Construction phase services will included contract management, quality control, and on site monitoring of construction progress. The CM scope of work includes managing the installation of furnishings.
