Contractors McHugh Construction and Bowa Construction recently celebrated the topping off of 43 Green Phase 2.
Urbanize Chicago reported on Christmas Day that developers The Habitat Company and P3 Markets made the topping off announcement for the 10-story project at 4309 S. Prairie, west of the 43th Street Green Line Station.
The 80-unit structure is scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2024. A third residential phase with about 70 units is expected to break ground in early 2025.
“Seeing the continued progress of 43 Green, with its first residential building at capacity and the Phase 2 property reaching top-off height, we are that much closer to fulfilling our vision of bringing much-needed housing and retail options to the Bronzeville community,” Urbanize Chicago quoted Habitat president Matt Fiascone as saying.
Moody Nolan and LBBA Architects designed the Phase 2 property, which will have 3,700 sq. ft. of retail, as well as two outdoor terraces, flex work-from-home spaces, a fitness center and laundry.
