More than 400 people participated in the city of Peoria’s strategic planning kick-off on June 1 and 2, and the upcoming community visioning workshops scheduled for July 20 and 21 are also open to the public.

When completed later this year the strategic plan will serve as a roadmap to guide decisions about the city’s future. The plan will incorporate feedback from community members, stakeholders, and city council to create a vision and align goals, priorities, and budgets over the next five years.

Four workshops are scheduled with one virtual option. Participants should register for their preferred session on the Peoria2023.org website. Those selecting the virtual option will receive a ZOOM link via email.

Workshops will be held:

  • July 20 – 10:30 a.m. to noon at the Peoria Public Library North Branch, 3001 W Grand Parkway
  • July 20 – 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the George Washington Carver Center, 710 W Percy Baker Jr. Ave.
  • July 21 – 9 to 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 3601 N. North Street
  • July 21 – Noon to 1:30 pm, Virtual

To register for the workshops, access previous meeting materials, or provide online feedback, visit the City of Peoria’s strategic planning page.
