Chicago issues $49 million permit for new Read Dunning School

Chicago has issued a $49 million building permit for the new Read Dunning School, serving Grades 7 to 9 at 4071 N. Oak Park. Ave.

The project’s general contractor is K.R. Miller Contractors, Inc. Subtrades include: masonryAll Masonry Const. Co. Inc.; electricalElite Electric Co. Inc; and ventilationBlackhawk HVAC, Inc.

The building permit says the public school will accommodate 1,200 students. Work includes the building, as well as associated site work, including the athletic field, private drive and staff parking lot.

STL Architects principal Tracy Salvia is listed as the architect of record.
