Construction is under way at 1140 N. Wells St. for a $90 million project, the Atrium Village Phase I 32-story tower.
The HPA (Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture)-designed tower, near the former Cabrini-Green public housing project, will have 404 residential units and 74 commercial spaces when it is completed, according to the City of Chicago building permit. In total, four high-rises will eventually be built on the former Atrium Village site, Curbed Chicago reports.
Permit data lists the Canadian-based Onni Group as owner and the general contractor as Onni Contracting (Chicago) Inc.
