$49.8 million permit issued for Citadel Center renovation

Chicago has issued a $49.8 million building permit for continuing work on extensive renovations at the Citadel Center in the Loop at 131 S. Dearborn St.

The permit issued on June 8 relates to the 2019 Chicago Building Rehabilitation Code (CBRC) and says: “Interior alterations to office floors 29-31. To include select demolition of interior walls and raised floors, tenant office build out and finish renovations, and new convenience stair connecting floors 30 and 31.”

Turner Construction Company is the project’s general contractor. Key subtrades include: Electrical M.J. Electric, LLC; plumber/plumbing – Mechanical Inc. DBA; and ventilation – Admiral Heating and Ventilation.
