The highest value building permit issued in Chicago in the past week — $12 million for 720 S. Wells, reflects some of the ground and below-ground work for the new Riverline development’s first building.
The permit issued to Lend Lease (US) Construction says it is for “blow grade concrete vault for water feature pump-room, new concrete retaining walls, elevated wood walkway on wood piles, drinking fountains, water feature, playground equipment, 4-ft. high metal fence, guard rails and landscaping.”
Thee works are components of Ancora, a 29-story, 452-unit apartment tower in the South Loop. First occupancies are targeted for spring of 2018.
Prasam Kale, CMK Companies director of development, is listed as the project owner.
Sub trades include: Masonry – Abbey Paving; and plumber – Ewing-Doherty Mechanical Inc.
