It’s certainly a major renovation. The project to update the apartments at 1350 N. Lake Shore has been reported by the City of Chicago as the largest building permit in the past week — with an estimated $10,618,250 cost.
The permit’s work description says it includes “facade restoration including shelf angle replacement, anchor installation, concrete repairs, masonry rebuilding, parapet rebuilding, sealant replacement, tuckpointing, grind and seal cracks.
The general contractor is listed as Design Installation Systems based in Morton Grove, IL. The masonry contractor is National Restoration, Inc.
