Chicago-based Skender is opening a new advanced manufacturing facility.
The new advanced manufacturing operations will be located at 3348 S. Pulaski, on Chicago’s southwest side. Approximately 100 new jobs will be created related to the production of modular buildings for multifamily, healthcare and commercial buildings, the company said in a statement.
Production is scheduled to start as early as November this year for Skender’s first project, a six-story, 110-unit, 80,000-sq.-ft. West Loop multifamily building.
Skender says that prototype modules will be ready for viewing and demonstration in September. The company is taking orders and developing designs for a number of multifamily and healthcare projects.
