Raths, Raths & Johnson, Inc. (RRJ), a national engineering, architecture, and forensics consulting firm, has opened a Chicago office.

With its corporate headquarters and laboratory in Willowbrook, IL, this new location expands RRJ’s presence within the Chicagoland market to better serve its clients, the practice said in a news release.

“The opening of our new office in the heart of Chicago’s downtown business district will further advance our long-term relationships within the Chicago design and construction community as well as key national clients with headquarters and branch offices here,” said RRJ president Kurt Hoigard.

The practice is celebrating its fiftieth anniversary this year.

“We have relocated our corporate headquarters and laboratory to a larger facility in Willowbrook, expanded our engineering and architectural staff, enhanced our building enclosure service offerings, and added marketing support to meet our long-range goals,” architect Ken Lies, vice-president and co-owner, said in the news release.

RRJ says it has a long history of working in Chicago on major projects for private institutions, public agencies, contractors, professional design firms, real estate developers, and attorneys. These projects have involved engineering/architectural consulting roles in the evaluation, investigation, and repair design of significant downtown office buildings, residential high-rise towers, hospitals, parking garages, bridges, and transit infrastructure.
