PREMIER Design + Build Group, LLC based in Itasca, along with HSA Commercial Real Estate and an undisclosed pharmaceutical company joined together for a groundbreaking ceremony on May 20, 2015, commemorating  the addition of 50,400 sq. ft.  to the existing 100,000 sq. ft.  facility, in Memphis, Tennessee.

The location will serve as the primary distribution center for the pharmaceutical company. The current warehouse features approximately 7,300 pallet locations and the expansion will add roughly 4,500 more. The increase will help better handle an average of 8,000 orders and 17,000 lines of products that are shipped to customers each month from the facility.

Highlights of the expansion include climate control suited for pharmaceutical storage. This will be achieved through four roof-mounted packaged gas heating and electric cooling units with temperature controls integrated into the building’s automation system.

“We are honored to be a part of the team selected by HSA to bring this expansion to Memphis. Everyone here has been great to work with. They’ve really made us feel at home,” states PREMIER president Alan Zocher.

Included in the expansion design is a reconfiguration of existing office and lab areas. Once complete, a new conference room and a training center will provide a workspace that is tailored to fit their specific needs. A quality document room, quality inspection room, IT storage room and cubicles arranged in an open floor plan will also be added to the space.

Groundbreaking ceremony attendees included: Zach Gadomski and Joe Ahrens of PREMIER Design + Build Group, LLC; Ken Verne of HSA Commercial Real Estate, as well as representatives from the pharmaceutical company.

PREMIER Design + Build Group, LLC was selected to manage the design and construction of this expansion with Joe Ahrens as project manager and Zach Gadomski as field superintendent.
