O’Hare Terminal 5 internal build-out gets $75 million permit

Chicago has issued a $75 million permit for a significant portion of the O’Hare Airport Terminal 5 expansion.

The permit issued on Nov. 10 covers “interior area buildout for east, west and headhouse of Terminal 5 and federal inspection services areas as per plans.” This permit follows earlier permits issued for caissons and the foundation. The overall Terminal 5 project value is estimated at $1.2 billion.

Austin Power Partners from Dallas, TX is listed as the general contractor. Subtrades on the permit include: Electrical – Hartmann Electric Company, Inc.; masonry – Rosemont Masonry Corp; plumber/plumbing – F.E. Moran inc.; and refrigeration and ventilation – Command Mechanical Group.
