PREMIER Design + Build Group, LLC broke ground on a new 186,616 sq. ft. global headquarters and industrial facility in Lincolnshire, IL on July 19.

The building’s owners, Heathrow Scientific and Daigger Scientific, specialize in the manufacture and distribution of labware and equipment for life sciences and clinical applications. They are currently headquartered in neighboring Vernon Hills.

More than 30 attendees joined PREMIER in celebrating the groundbreaking, including Lincolnshire Mayor Elizabeth Brandt, Heathrow Scientific chairman Jim Woldenberg, PREMIER project manager Samantha Skopek and building superintendent Matthew Robson. PREMIER executive vice-president Brian Paul expressed his enthusiasm for the project and what it means for the surrounding area and beyond.

“We are honored to work with Heathrow Scientific on this project,” said Paul. “We are looking forward to bringing a new standard in state-of-the-art industrial buildings to Lincolnshire and the North Shore.”

Located at 325 Marriott Dr., the 36 ft. clear height precast concrete building will be situated on 10.22 acres just three miles west of the Tri-State Tollway. Features will include approximately 20,000 sq. ft. of Class A, two-story office space, 20 exterior truck docks, two drive-in doors and two main entryways, as well as 1600 amp service and an ESFR fire sprinkler system. Punched windows and an aluminum curtain wall will bring a sleek, unique look to the exterior of the building. The 60 mil., fully ballasted EPDM roof includes a 20-year warranty.
