Chicago has approved a $10.8 million building permit for a one-story recyclable material transfer station in an industrial area near Brighton Park.
The permit issued to Kevin Flood (representing Flood Brothers Disposal) for the previously vacant site at 3051 W. 48th Pl. says the new “moderate hazard” station will process a variety of recyclable materials.
The project’s general contractor is James McHugh Construction Co. Key subtrades include: Electrical – American Electric Construction; masonry – Raffin Construction Co.; plumber/plumbing – Warren F. Thomas; and refrigeration and ventilation – AMS Mechanical Systems.
