Arbor Lodging Partners and Middleton Partners, the joint owners of the Chicago Marriott Schaumburg, are preparing to begin a $22-million renovation project this summer.

The hotel at 50 N. Martingale Rd. will see remodeling of the lobby, indoor and outdoor pools, restaurant and bar, guest rooms and health club. The project will add a large, flexible space called the Great Room featuring more than 300 seats and a full-service bar and restaurant, the Daily Herald reports.

In addition, the renovation will offer one of the five upscale MClub Lounges and 20,000 sq. ft. of meeting and event space.

“As the most newly renovated hotel in the area, it brings us great pride to invite everyone to enjoy a fresh take on modern amenities and style just outside of downtown Chicago,” general manager Andreo Girardi said in a statement.
