Chicago has issued a $59.5 million building permit for a new 33 story apartment building at 215 W. Lake in the Loop’s northwest corner.
Crains’ reported last summer that architect and developer Thomas Roszak and a partner have planned to develop the building on a site that complies with existing zoning requirements. The building permit says the owners (operating under the name 215 W. Lake St. Holdings) are turning what had been a parking lot into a structure with 132 efficiency units, 133 dwelling units and 152 parking spaces, in a building to be constructed to LEED Silver standards.
Clark Construction Group Chicago is the general contractor. Subcontractors include Bonus Electric, Larmco Company, Inc. (masonry), Ewing-Doherty Mechanical, Inc. (plumbing) and Heatmasters Inc. (refrigeration).
