$128 million construction permit issued for Father and Son Plaza redevelopment

The City of Chicago has issued a construction permit to White Oak Realty Partners and FitzGerald Associates Architects to redevelop the Father and Son Plaza in Old Town into an 11-story complex with 261 apartment units.

The city also issued a demolition permit for the single-story shopping center at the southwest corner of North Ave. and Larrabee St., according to a report from Curbed.

The $128-million project will include an apartment complex with 261 units, an outdoor pool, two ground-floor commercial bays offering a combined 30,000 sq. ft. of retail space, a 183-vehicle garage, and various streetscape improvements along North Avenue.
