Work has started on long-in-planning project at 4346 N. Honore at the Montrose Brown Line station in Chicago’s Ravenswood neighborhood.
Method Development LLC is listed as the general contractor for the $10 million project to construct the five-story structure with 38 dwelling units (four of which will be on site affordable units). There will also be a ground floor restaurant.
The transit-oriented development named Montrose Green will rise at the former site of an organic community garden with the same name.
Level Architecture Incorporated designed the structure with a variety of cladding materials to give it a “more granular, less monolithic appearance from the street and neighbouring L station,” Curbed Chicago reports.
Subtrades include: Electrical – G & F Electrical, Inc.; masonry – Klatt Enterprises, Inc.; plumbing– JS Home Service, Inc.; and refrigeration and ventilation – Mark Heating & Air Conditioning.
