Smith Senior Living recently broke ground on an expansion project at continuing care retirement community in Chicago’s Beverly neighborhood.
The project, at Smith Village, will cost $22.3 million and is designed to upgrade the community’s Johanson Wing.
The project calls for a three-story, 10,204-sq.-ft. building. The expansion will reduce the number of licensed beds in the wing from 100 to 78 and most double-occupancy rooms will be replaced by private suites.
