Chicago has issued a $19.5 million building permit for a new Howard Brown Health Clinic in Boystown.
The five-story mixed-use medical office building at 3501 N. Halsted St. is being built by general contractor James McHugh Construction Co. According to Chicago YIMBY, Eckenhoff Saunders Architects designed the structure, replacing an earlier design by Architrave.
The structure will hold “7,600 square feet of retail space at ground level, two floors of clinic space, and three floors of office space,” Chicago YIMBY reported. Additionally, there will be 26 basement parking spaces and 20 bicycle spaces.
The permit issued on May 9 lists these key subtrades: Electrical – Lyons Electric Company Inc.; masonry – Illinois Masonry with GC James McHugh; plumber/plumbing – Norman Mechanical; and refrigeration and ventilation – AMS Mechanical Systems Inc.
