Motorola Solutions Inc. has been issued a $16.5 million building permit to renovate five floors of office space at 500 W. Monroe St., as it consolidates its operations in the downtown office tower.
Chicago Real Estate Daily reported last August that the company planned to transfer several hundred employees to Chicago from the northwest suburbs.
Clune Construction Co. Ltd. is listed in the building permit documentation as the general contractor for the project. Key subcontractors include: Electrical — Continental Electric Construction Co., Oak Brook; plumbing — Great Lakes Plumbing, Chicago; and ventilation — F.E. Moran Ltd., Northbrook.
The building permit says the renovation project does not involve structural work.
