Chicago has issued a $26,271,000 building permit for Richard J. Daley College’s new engineering and construction center.
The permit issued on Feb. 1 for 4101 W. 7th St. follows the earlier foundation permit and covers the proposed 57,000 sq. ft. new building, a connecting pedestrian building, and a one-story addition to an existing three-story building at the college. The earlier renovation/foundation permit issued on Oct. 19 had a $2.85 million value.
General contractor Old Veteran Construction, Inc. is building the structure designed by JGMA in collaboration with CannonDesign.
Key subtrades include: Electrical – Pace Systems, Inc.; masonry – Four Province Masonry, Inc.; plumber/plumbing, refrigeration and ventilation– Hill Mechanical Corp.
