A major addition and renovation project is underway at Neuqua Valley High School, as Bulley & Andrews and Indian Prairie School District 204 marked the start of construction with a groundbreaking ceremony.
The project will expand and modernize the high school campus, adding new classrooms, science labs, offices and collaborative workspaces, along with a fitness studio and a new turf field. Plans also include upgrades to building systems and the addition of enhanced security features.
School officials say the work will allow freshmen to return to the main campus for the first time in more than two decades, reuniting all grade levels under one roof. Since 2003, first-year students have attended classes at a separate facility.
“I want to thank our partners Bulley & Andrews for their work in an amazing timeline, bringing together legions of wonderful trades that are going to do some amazing things here over the next 18 months,” said principal Lance Fuhrer during the ceremony.
The construction is part of a broader capital improvement plan funded through a voter-approved bond program, aimed at upgrading facilities across the district and accommodating long-term enrollment needs.
Once complete, the additions and renovations are expected to provide expanded learning environments and improved student amenities, while supporting enhanced safety and operational efficiency throughout the campus.
Bulley & Andrews said the project represents a significant investment in students, staff and the wider school community, and highlighted the collaborative effort between project partners to deliver the work.
