The City of Chicago has issued a $111 million building permit for Fifield Realty’s The Sinclair project. The permit issued on Dec. 2 is for the foundation and “up to levels 3 slab of residential tower, and three slabs of parking garage with elevator pits for proposed 35 story, 390 unit apartment tower. The general contractor is McHugh Construction Co.
The project on the site of a Jewel-Osco store, will be the city’s second largest transit-oriented development as the project will be directly on top of CTA’s Clark/Division Red Line station, with entrances at each end of the block.
The architect is listed as Gary L. Kohn associated with Solomon Cordwell Buenz.
The building permit says the plumbing contractor is AMS Mechanical Systems, Inc., while the refrigeration and ventilation are handled by Midwesco and the electrical contractor is Chatfield Electric, Inc.
