Dan McLaughlin, who is retiring after six years leading the Chicagoland Associated General Contractors (CAGC) and its predecessor organization, the Builders Association, received a rousing send-off at an Aug. 28 reception.
“McLaughlin joined the association when there was room for growth and he continuously made improvements,” the association reported in its e-letter. “Family, friends and colleagues of McLaughlin’s gathered at Gibson’s in Oak Brook to commence a new chapter in his life over cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.”
The CAGC says McLaughlin will continue in a part-time capacity through the end of the year and continue to be influential in the industry. Tom Cuculich replaced McLaughlin as executive director on July 15.
