PREMIER Design + Build Group, LLC has welcomed Kyle Meier as part of the Purdue University co-op program. He will alternate semesters at school with working sessions at PREMIER, where his primary responsibilities are similar to that of an assistant project manager.
Meier joined PREMIER in August 2015 and has returned for a second semester with PREMIER. Under direct supervision, he has gained invaluable experience in the areas of bidding, awards, contracts and the submittal process. He is thrilled to be part of several projects that PREMIER is leading and in return, is providing innovative ideas and a fresh perspective on project strategy and problem resolution.
“Our commitment to developing young talent is a priority, and we are proud to partner with Purdue, a truly outstanding academic institution,” says PREMIER executive vice-president Brian Paul. “We are delighted to have Kyle on our team—he brings great value to our company culture and has already distinguished himself as a dedicated and hard worker.”
Meier will work the equivalent of 1.5 years at PREMIER over the course of his sophomore, junior and senior seasons as part of a co-op program. He is excited about this opportunity with PREMIER and knows that it will help him jump-start a career when he graduates with his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
He worked at the building services division for the Village of Wheeling, IL. While there, he performed maintenance and repairs on HVAC units, generators, exhaust fans and lighting fixtures across seven municipal facilities.
In his spare time, he plays trumpet in the Purdue Jazz Band, enjoys strumming his guitar and also loves the rush of dirt biking.
