Milhouse acquires Chicago-based Zroka Engineering

Milhouse Engineering & Construction announced that it acquired Zroka Engineering, a woman-owned structural engineering consulting and design firm based in Chicago.

Following the acquisition, Milhouse becomes the largest African American-owned engineering and architectural company in Chicago, the company said in a statement.

Further, Milhouse said that this acquisition will expand its breadth of structural engineer capabilities and will boost its market competitiveness. The company will be able to offer a broader, more diverse range of services in multiple practice areas.

Milhouse’s structural team will be led by Deborah Zroka, and Stan Kaderbek. Zroka is a structural engineer with over 30 years of experience working in the transportation industry. Kaderbek is director of civil and transportation, with 38 years of experience in private practice and public service. He has also served as deputy commissioner/chief engineer for the Chicago Department of Transportation and commissioner of buildings for the Chicago Department of Buildings.
