Heavenrich & Co. to build 90-bed facility in Chicago


A Chicago boutique investment bank wants to build an estimated $20 million skilled nursing facility in the Illinois Medical District on the Near West Side, reports Chicago Business.

Heavenrich & Co. is proposing a 90-bed facility on nearly 4 acres with all private suites for patients who have been discharged from the hospital but need physical rehab before heading home, managing director Adam Heavenrich said.

The facility likely would include both short- and long-term care. Heavenrich is eyeing property in an economic development area that includes four hospitals that, combined, admit more than 70,000 patients a year.
