A $6.1 million renovation at the GoGo Building, 111 N. Canal St., is largely in space previously occupied by the building’s namesake, GoGo Inflight. In 2019, the company had put up a sizeable amount of space for sublease as it downsized.

The March 19 building permit doesn’t describe the new tenant, but it is clear the work is extensive.

General contractor Leopardo Companies Inc. is overseeing the work, described as “interior alterations to the 11th and 12th office floor spaces at an existing office building. Work to also include a new opening and communicating stair between floors 11 and 12 as per plans. Minor electrical work on the 16th floor.”

Subtrades include: Electrical – Maron Electric Company; and plumber/plumbing, refrigeration and mechanicalHill Mechanical Corp.
