A new multi-tower condominium project is expected to transform the Fulton Market District at 1325 W Fulton. Spearheaded by Sulo Development and Sterling Bay, the development aims to blend modern luxury with sustainable living, contributing to the neighborhood’s dynamic evolution.
Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), the 1325 W Fulton project will consist of three towers that will reshape the West Fulton skyline. The development will feature high-end residential units, retail spaces, and community areas, reflecting a contemporary architectural vision that emphasizes both aesthetics and functionality.
Tower 1: A New Landmark
The first tower, standing 46 stories tall, will become a prominent feature of the Fulton Market skyline. This sleek glass structure will house approximately 300 luxury residential units and feature a multi-story podium with an integrated parking garage. The ground floor will include retail spaces designed to enhance the vibrancy of W Fulton Street. With large windows and prominent street frontage, these retail areas are expected to significantly contribute to the neighborhood’s commercial vitality.
Tower 2: A Complementary Vision
Adjacent to Tower 1, Tower 2 will rise 36 stories and include around 250 residential units. It will feature a glass facade, with unique design elements such as staggered balconies. Residents will benefit from a rooftop terrace designed to foster community interaction and provide expansive city views.
Tower 3: The Pinnacle
The third tower, located along Elizabeth Street, will be the tallest of the three, reaching 538 feet. It will include 106 residential units and various terraces, with a podium featuring a motor court, parking garage, and a rooftop pool deck.
The development promises modern amenities tailored to urban residents, including:
- Retail Spaces: Ground-floor commercial areas facing W Fulton Street.
- Parking Facilities: On-site parking with 364 spaces.
- Fitness and Recreation: Indoor fitness centers and outdoor recreation spaces.
- Sustainability: Eco-friendly materials and energy-efficient systems.
SOM’s design emphasizes clean lines and modern materials, with glass facades that maximize natural light and provide panoramic city views. The design reflects the industrial heritage of the Fulton Market District and integrates seamlessly with the existing urban fabric. Landscaped sidewalks and public plazas are expected to enhance the pedestrian experience.
The proposal is still in the early stages of approval. Once approved, the project will follow a phased construction timeline, starting with site preparation and the construction of Tower 1, followed by Tower 2 and the development of retail and community spaces.
