Forman Realty has revitalized plans for a new Lakeview 19-story condo tower, replacing an empty lot at 2950 N. Sheridan with 82 units.
The project by the Wirtz Realty Corporation division had originally been proposed in 2008, but this time will have three more units than originally planned, and less parking than originally expected in an attached four-story parking structure (with approximately 113 spots).
The new renderings indicate that Booth Hansen has taken over the project’s design duties from Pappageorge Haymes Partners.
“And though the proposed tower’s curvy, modern glass architecture may interrupt the otherwise staid character of the neighborhood’s older towers, the building is designed with setbacks and ample green space on the Oakdale Avenue side of the building to lessen area impacts while also exceeding landscape ordinance requirements,” Curbed Chicago reports. “A recent extension on the building approvals leaves a short timeline for Forman to break ground on the tower.”
