BKL Architecture is designing a second Studio Three fitness location in a former art gallery at 2401 N. Halsted, Lincoln Park.

The 16,000 sq. ft. project will be transformed into an “all-in-one boutique fitness destination” at an overall cost (including renovations) of $6 million, according to a news release. The project is expected to be completed later this year.

It will include locker rooms (200 lockers), common areas, bathrooms, and changing rooms along with three studios: one for cycling (70 person capacity), one for yoga (66 person capacity), and one for interval training (51 person capacity).

“Studio Three combines the variety of a box gym with the highly specialized experience and community of a boutique fitness studio,” said Studio Three co-founder and managing partner David Blitz. “Our uniquely holistic approach to fitness alongside our world-class instructors puts us in a category of one in Chicago.”

The Lincoln Park location will generate 70 to 100 new jobs.
